The Stefanov family is well-known in the world of piano lessons for their exceptional expertise and quality. With years of experience under their belt, they have established themselves as leaders in the field. Their passion for music and dedication to teaching shines through in every lesson they give.
Ivanka Stefanov
Mrs. Ivanka Stefanov received a Bachelor Degree in Piano Performance from University of Musical Arts, Belgrade, Yugoslavia. She has been teaching piano and theory professionally for over 55 years. Mrs. Ivanka performed with “SAR” trio and served as a Church Organist and Music Director for Presbyterian Church of Seffner and UMC Wellspring Church.
Mrs. Ivanka is an active member of the National Federation of Music Clubs, Greater Pinellas Music Teacher Association (FSMTA/MTNA), National Guild of Piano Teachers and serves as Bay Ridge Festival committee member. She has participated as a judge at Bay Ridge District Festival, Florida State Convention, National Guild and Midstate Music Teacher Association.
Mrs. Ivanka is the founder and president of Academic Piano Studio.
Emi P. Stefanov
Ms. Emi P. Stefanov earned a Bachelor and Master Degrees in Piano Performance from Southern Methodist University, Dallas, TX. She has been actively teaching piano and musical theatre for over 25 years. Ms. Emi has been on the faculty of SMU Community Education, FSU/Asolo Conservatory, Midlothian HS, Broadway Theatre Project, Hoffman Institute for Performing Arts/Ruth Eckerd Hall and is currently an Adjunct Music Professor at Hillsborough Community College, Ybor City Campus. In addition to teaching, Ms. Emi is in demand pianist and music director for various theatre companies, and recipient of numerous awards including 2014 Theatre Tampa Bay Award for The Mikado at freefall Theatre.
Ms. Emi is an active member of the National Federation of Music Clubs, National Guild of Piano Teachers, Greater Pinellas Music Teacher Association (FSMTA/MTNA), the Bay Ridge Festival co-chair and FFMC Jr. State Convention Chair. http://www.emipstefanov.com
